How It Works

Park Matrix offers four distinct parking systems: car lifts, pit parking, stack parking and robotic parking. Each moves and stores vehicles differently. The step-by-step guides below show what happens with each system.

Safe and secure

Nobody walks in the parking area while the system is running

Mechanised movement

Platforms, lifts or shuttles move the car according to the system

Planned for busy times

Entry bays and movements are planned around peak demand

Efficient footprint

Less space spent on ramps and drive aisles

Robotic parking: step by step

01

Drive in

Enter the bay and stop on the marked area.

02

Check

Sensors check the car and confirm the bay is clear.

03

Transfer

A shuttle carries the car to its assigned space.

04

Store

The car is secured in its assigned space.

05

Retrieve

The system returns the car to the pickup bay.

06

Drive out

Drive away from the exit bay.

Car lifts: step by step

A vehicle lift makes two or more parking levels from one bay. The driver positions the car; the platform moves it vertically.

01

Drive in

Drive onto the lowered lift platform and position the car.

02

Lift

The platform lifts the first car to the upper parking level.

03

Park below

A second car can then park in the space beneath the raised platform.

04

Lower / retrieve

When the lower space is clear, the platform brings the upper car down.

05

Drive out

Drive the retrieved car off the platform.

Pit parking: step by step

Pit parking lowers vehicles below ground so the surface can remain clear. The exact movement depends on the selected configuration.

01

Drive in

Stop the vehicle on the platform at ground level.

02

Lower

The platform takes the vehicle down into the pit.

03

Move and store

Where fitted, a shuttle moves the car to its assigned position.

04

Retrieve

The system returns the car to the platform and raises it.

05

Drive out

The platform reaches ground level and the driver leaves.

Stack parking: step by step

Stack parking uses coordinated vertical and horizontal platform movement to place cars in a compact multi-level arrangement.

01

Drive in

Position the car on the entry platform.

02

Lift and shuffle

The platform rises and shifts to an available position.

03

Store securely

The car remains on its assigned platform level.

04

Call it back

The driver requests the vehicle through the control system.

05

Drive out

The platform returns to entry level and the driver leaves.
